Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary, non-binding process that uses a neutral third party to facilitate the negotiation of a dispute.  The goal in mediation is to reach a settlement agreement. Mediation provides many substantial benefits, including expediency, confidentiality, flexible solutions and cost efficiencies. Many jurisdictions now require civil disputes to be mediated prior to trial. Even if a case does not resolve at mediation, it is likely that all sides who participate in the process will have a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the case, as well as the risks associated with continued litigation. CMG is committed to facilitating resolutions of disputes through this negotiated process.
